236 acres, 3 ponds, and a cemetery from the 1800s with a revolutionary war vet.  Hawksnest state park is tucked away off exit 11 with no markings and very little information available about it.  It has a mixture of dirt fire roads and single track trails that loop around the ponds bringing you through many different habitats. I have mapped out most of the main trails and parking locations on the Harwich page in the towns section of Secluded Cape Cod. You can also find it on our Adventure Map and its part of the Pathways hike.  Hawksnest is a great place to take the kids exploring, the dog for a run or even a horse for an extended ride. Hawksnest in Harwich is truly one of those secluded places on Cape Cod to get away from it all.
